Speedway, IN - Earnhardt was the class of the field again. He started 16th, and worked his way through the field to take the lead from Elliott Sadler on the 138th of 200 laps. Pole sitter Buckshot Jones led the first 50 laps, Lyndon Amick was in front from 51 to 81, and Sadler showed the way until Earnhardt moved to the front in the event at Indianapolis Raceway Park.
"I think the worst the car was all day was when we qualified," said Earnhardt, who started in the eighth row. "But after that, Tony Eury and the guys got together and made some great decisions. I just tried to be patient and not overdrive the car."
