Budweiser Winston Cup Race Preview

Dale Jr. Quotes for Bristol:
“We were really disappointed about Michigan. But, we can’t change it, so we’ll look forward. We’ve been really fast at Bristol, and we’ve led a lot of laps there in the past couple of races. It’s such a cool race, with the atmosphere and the fans going crazy. You can’t get caught up too much in all of it because you have to think about getting the car to lap 500… I used to get so mad when I’d work all night and then get spun out on lap 450. It seemed like so much work to end up with nothing. It’s given me a new focus to get to the finish.”

“Tony Jr. (Eury, No. 8 Budweiser team car chief) used to tease me about how many laps (at Bristol) it would take before the grille was smashed out of the car. In my first few (Winston Cup) races here, sometimes that was as short as 10 laps, but I think we’ve come a long way since then. We have a great streak going on short tracks since 2001, and it’s something we want to continue.”
