--- Dale Earnhardt Jr. will appear tomorrow evening (Thanksgiving night) on "ELVIS LIVES," an NBC special that airs at 10:00 pm Eastern. The special chronicles the huge impact Elvis Presley continues to have on pop culture around the world. What could be more American than Elvis and Earnhardt on Thanksgiving?!
--- In a recent poll by Data Development Corp. Inc., Dale Jr. was selected as the number one choice among sports fans if they could choose their own personal "designated driver." Earnhardt Jr. has participated in Anheuser-Busch's Consumer Awareness program to encourage designated drivers, including a commercial that aired during the Super Bowl and other sports telecasts in 2002. More than 40 percent of the sports fans chose Dale Jr., who was followed in the poll results by Venus Williams and Derek Jeter.
---- Editors at Amazon.com have selected Dale Jr's "Driver #8" as one of the top 10 best sports books of 2002. Based on sales figures from the giant online book seller, "Driver #8" was the top-selling sports book of the year. The paperback version of "Driver #8" comes out Dec. 1.
