DEI Will Celebrate The Life Of Its Founder
|
MOORESVILLE, N.C., (April 23, 2002) - Dale Earnhardt, Inc. will celebrate the life of its founder, Dale Earnhardt, on Monday, April 29, at its Mooresville-based facility.
The event will become an annual tradition on April 29, Dale Earnhardt's birthday. For the first time ever, fans will be allowed to enter the interior show room of the complex to get an up close look at several historic No. 3 Chevrolets driven by the seven-time Winston Cup Champion.
A special exhibit of Dale Earnhardt's personal collection will be displayed, highlighting never before seen memorabilia that he and his wife Teresa acquired over the years. In addition, fans will have the chance to view Dale Earnhardt, Inc.'s "Tribute to Dale" video. It includes historic footage from NASCAR Winston Cup Series' year-end banquets honoring Earnhardt's championship seasons.
Olympic Gold Medalist Picabo Street will make a guest appearance. The Olympic skier followed Earnhardt's racing career for years, and just last year, named her downhill ski's "Intimidators" in honor of the legendary driver.
ESPN's RPM2Nite will broadcast live at 6:00 pm EST from DEI headquarters. Steve Park and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. will be at the shop for the RPM2Nite live show at 6:00 pm. "Paul Shadt in the Morning" from Kat Country 96.9 WKKT FM will also air its morning radio show live from event.
