Earnhardt Jr. Budweiser Race Preview

Dale Jr. Quotes
Note: The race at Loudon, originally scheduled to run September 16, was postponed due to the tragedies in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania. The race will take place this Friday with a single practice session in the morning preceding the start of the 300-lap race.

"Forget all of the talk about the weather and the schedule - all we need to do is to look at where we are in the points. We can jump two spots to sixth or we can fall to tenth depending on how well we do Friday. Because we start by points position, all of the guys we're battling in the points are all starting together so it's a fight from the first lap to the last.

"A lot of the talk about Loudon is that you aren't able to pass, but we got a top 10 finish (9th) after starting 29th in the first race there this year. We moved into the top 10 in about 80 laps, and then dropped back in the field with an overheating car. It seemed like we passed everybody three or four times. We have never started this far forward at Loudon, so going to the green in eighth should help us avoid those kind of problems."
