"BUDWEISER RACE FOR THE GOLD" FACT SHEET - June 29, 2000

In the "Budweiser Race for the Gold" sweepstakes, Budweiser will award a series of prizes, including trips and possibly $5 million, which would be divided between an adult consumer, the United States Olympic Committee and Budweiser drivers Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Kenny Bernstein.
Earnhardt Jr. and Bernstein both will race cars with special U.S. Olympic Team paint schemes, Earnhardt Jr. in the NASCAR Winston Cup goracing.com 500 at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway on August 26, and Bernstein in the NHRA U.S. Nationals Top Fuel event at Indianapolis Raceway Park on September 4.
Listed below are the prize breakouts for the promotion:
CONSUMERS
Grand Prize - One grand-prize winner will receive the following:
- An all-expense paid trip to the Summer Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia, in September;
- An all-expense paid trip to Bristol (Tenn.) to watch Dale Earnhardt Jr. race in the goracing.com 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway;
- IF Earnhardt Jr. wins at Bristol, an all-expense paid trip to Indianapolis to watch Kenny Bernstein race in the U.S. Nationals; and
- IF Earnhardt Jr. and Bernstein both win their races, $2.25 million.
First Prize - 50 first-place winners receive a set of die-cast replicas of the cars driven by Earnhardt Jr. at Bristol and Bernstein at Indianapolis.
Second Prize - 200 second-place winners receive a Budweiser U.S. Olympic Team T-shirt featuring one of the drivers.
UNITED STATES OLYMPIC COMMITTEE
- IF Earnhardt Jr. and Bernstein both win their races, the USOC will receive $2.25 million;
- IF Earnhardt Jr. does not win at Bristol, but Bernstein wins at Indianapolis, the USOC will receive $100,000.
DRIVERS
- IF Earnhardt Jr. and Bernstein both win their races, the drivers each will receive $250,000.
ENTRY
Consumers age 21 and older can enter online at www.Budweiser.com from June 29 through July 28. Winners will be announced during the week of August 14.
